Tami Knight provides support in the areas of Title I-A, Title II-A, Title IV-A, Title V (both RLIS & SRSA), School Improvement grant programs and ESSER stimulus funds.  In addition to these federal programs, she also provides support for the State Compensatory Education program. In addition to her role at the ESC, Tami’s years as an educator also include serving as an elementary classroom teacher and instructional specialist in public schools, and an adjunct instructor for the Department of Curriculum and Instruction graduate programs at Angelo State University. Tami holds a B.S. in Education from Angelo State University, a M.Ed. in School Administration from Lamar University and a PhD in Educational Leadership Policy from Texas Tech University.

Mercedez Rassi works alongside Tami providing support in the areas of Title I-A, Title II-A, Title IV-A, Title V (both RLIS & SRSA) and School Improvement grant programs, as well as Coronavirus relief stimulus funding. Mercedez has experience in education, nonprofit management, development, and fundraising. Previously, Mercedez worked for Region 15 in Federal Programs from 2019-2020. During her stint away from the ESC, she worked for a local nonprofit organization as the Director of Stewardship and Development, raising over a million dollars through grants and fundraising. Her other work history includes teaching at the middle school level and serving as a Migrant Recruiter for San Angelo Independent School District. In her free time, Mercedez spends time with her husband and three kids, volunteers as a catechism teacher at Sacred Heart Cathedral, serves as Treasurer for Angelo Catholic School's Home and School Association, and has made it her mission to rank every cheeseburger in San Angelo from best to worst. 

Monica Diaz has joined the Title I team as the Parent & Family Engagement Specialist. She is also the Migrant Out-of-School Youth (OSY) Specialist/Recruiter and helps with the marketing team at the ESC. Monica has spent the last 14 years serving migrant families and helping migrant students break down academic barriers. When she works with our migrant population, she goes out into the fields to find and recruit out-of-school youth and assist them in obtaining their HS diploma/GED and helps provide them with the appropriate services needed to be successful in school. In addition, she has done many workshops and trainings in districts and in the community, bringing awareness and support to the migrant population. Monica has always been involved in assisting and providing support to migrant parents and families. We are excited for her to jump into our team to bring her knowledge and expertise in working with parents and families. Please be on the lookout for new and exciting opportunities to increase parent and family engagement workshops/trainings. In her free time, Monica enjoys being a mother to three children, a Spanish GED instructor in her community, and is working toward her PhD in Educational Leadership Policy through Texas Tech University.
